The Ground Combat Element is the land maneuver force of a MAGTF, and its job is to conduct ground operations in support of the MAGTF’s mission. It works in concert with the Aviation Combat Element to receive air support and mobility, and with the Logistics Combat Element to stay fueled, fed, and reinforced.
